The Procurement & Quality department at Keppel Seghers ensures the commercial viability and quality assurance of our waste-to-energy projects.
This department is bifurcated into the Procurement team, responsible for sourcing, and the Quality Control team, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of our installations and components.
Procurement Team
This team oversees the acquisition of materials essential for our waste-to-energy installations. For significant components like boilers, furnaces, and flue gas cleaning systems, we collaborate with trusted international partners for outsourcing. The team’s responsibilities span from identifying suitable suppliers, overseeing bid requests and tenders, evaluating bids commercially, negotiating contracts, to ensuring the commercial follow-up of all orders. Additionally, a dedicated group of sales assistants ensures seamless administrative and logistical support.
Quality Control Team
Prioritising client satisfaction, this team ensures top-tier quality while maintaining a cost-effective approach.
Comprising specialised welding engineers, the QC team plays a pivotal role in assessing new suppliers, verifying technical specifications, and formulating inspection and test plans (ITPs). Their primary focus is to monitor quality throughout the production process without compromising on timelines.
Keppel Seghers Belgium has a global footprint, adding layers of complexity and intrigue to our operations. Our team members frequently engage with clients and suppliers across continents, from Europe to China, India, and even Australia.
