The Keppel Seghers engineering team, a pivotal arm of the global organisation, specialises in Waste-to-Energy technology. We oversee projects from inception to completion, converting waste into valuable energy resources like heat and electricity. Our collaboration with the Project Management & Proposal teams ensures the seamless execution of projects.
Adhering to safety standards, client specifications, and local regulations, we utilize standardized procedures to ensure projects are timely and within budget.
We support Keppel Seghers throughout the project lifecycle, from quotation to on-site initiation. Our responsibilities also encompass fundamental research, refining our existing technology, and conceptualising new technical applications.
Our engineering division comprises several teams

Plant Engineering: This team includes Process Engineers, who handle process design, from heat & mass balances to performance procedures, and Project Engineers, responsible for material and installation deliveries

Plant Integration: This team, along with its mechanical & piping designers, focuses on the detailed design of in-house developed components, such as boilers and furnaces. They also oversee stability calculations and plant layout

Automation: Here, engineers concentrate on programming PLC systems and configuring DCS systems, translating process logic into actionable methods

Electrical: Electrical Engineers ensure the waste-to-energy installations are equipped with the appropriate Electrical & Instrumentation infrastructure from start to finish

Plant Follow-Up also called Asset Optimisation: This team manages data from active installations, offering insights into performance and potential technological advancements
Collaborating with the Procurement and Quality department, our engineers liaise with suppliers and partners, primarily concerning the engineering and procurement of essential components.
The Manager Innovation, also part of our team, stays updated with market trends and emerging technologies, fostering innovation within our department.
We emphasise cross-training to harness the full potential of our team members, promoting continuous learning through internal and external training. Given our global operations, our roles often involve international travel.
