Questions? Answered!

Does KSBE offer jobs which don’t require travelling?

Absolutely! While travel is a key aspect of our engineering and project support roles, it’s not a blanket requirement. We have various positions where travel is minimal or not needed at all. However, occasional travel might be required in exceptional cases, even for non-project roles. The roles that typically involve the most travel are associated with project, process, automation, electrical, and quality engineering or management.”

What about working in Belgium and Work-Life balance?

We prioritise a balanced approach to work. As a project-oriented company, flexibility is part of our DNA. This includes options for working from home, ensuring that our team members can maintain a healthy balance between their professional and personal lives. Conversely, for project-related tasks, there’s often a need for flexibility in undertaking short-term travel assignments. These can range from brief 2-day trips to longer missions of up to 2 weeks. In cases where extended travel is necessary, we ensure a detailed plan is provided in advance, allowing you to make the necessary arrangements comfortably.

What if I can travel now, but my family status changes in the future?

Life’s constant is change, and we get that. If your ability to travel changes due to family or other personal reasons, we’re ready to adapt with you. Our flexible planning allows you to focus on what’s important, ensuring your career and personal life remain in harmony.

Can I decide to which project I want to travel?

Generally, our engineers are assigned to a project from start to finish, ensuring consistency and deep involvement in the project lifecycle. However, in supporting roles, there may be more variability in travel assignments. Our goal is always to align project needs with your professional development and interests.

Is travel only allowed when I am on the actual job or also during training?

Not necessarily. If travel is part of your role, it will also be part of your training. You won’t be travelling alone initially; a mentor or experienced team member will accompany you until you’re comfortable and ready to handle it independently. We ensure you’re fully prepared before any solo travel.
