Summary
As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our organization’s IT infrastructure. Working closely with our Keppel IT team in Singapore, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing all IT resources, thereby minimizing disruptions and maximizing efficiency. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, a strong understanding of IT networks and security, and good interpersonal skills to support end-users effectively.
About this position
Working in a small team and reporting directly to the IT Manager in Belgium, this role involves maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure. You will assist firstline support, be responsible for infrastructure maintenance, security measures, along with ensuring our systems run smoothly and securely. Your collaboration with the Keppel IT team and other stakeholders will be crucial in deploying new tools and technologies, as well as maintaining technical documentation.

This is what you will do
Firstline Support for End-Users

Provide timely and effective support to end-users, addressing their IT-related queries and issues

Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations
IT Infrastructure

Maintain end-user devices (such as computers, laptops and mobile devices), servers, network components and firewalls

Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions

Assist in software deployment and updates

Collaborate on network, computing, and storage projects to enhance our IT infrastructure
Security Measure

Implement and maintain security protocols, including account management, backups and firewall configurations

Ensure compliance with group IT policies

Technical Documentation and knowledge base

Co-maintain an internal wiki with comprehensive technical documentation, manuals and IT procedures

Keep records of system configurations, troubleshooting steps and common solutions

Education and Experience

Professional Bachelor or Master level degree in applied informatics and/or information technology

Skilled user of Windows servers and clients
Languages

Must possess a good working knowledge of English and Dutch; proficiency in French is highly valued.
